Description

Discover the highlights of Olympic National Park on a full-day guided tour from Seattle. Take a ferry ride over the Puget Sound, explore the park's diverse ecosystems, and enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. Start your day with a ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. Drive from Bainbridge to Olympic National Park and learn about the community's unique history on the way. During the winter months, trek through the beautiful forests with snowshoes. Enjoy a provided lunch, water, and a snack. Take photos with the park’s prettiest natural features in one day. Round-trip transfers from a variety of Seattle neighborhoods or the airport are included. Explore the park's best spots by hiking or snowshoeing, depending on the season. Begin your journey to Olympic National Park. The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here—and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment. Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Crescent Lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge, also visit the rain forests and waterfall. Take an iconic ferry boat from downtown Seattle, across Puget Sound, to Bainbridge Island on the way toward Olympic National Park. Drive from the ferry terminal toward Olympic National Park. Take a picture with the sign of Olympic National Park. Hike along a ridgeline at Hurricane Ridge, a 5-star attraction in the park. Visit Lake Crescent, a gorgeous, glacier-carved lake that is so clear you can peer deep into the lake. Relax at a national park lodge and rent kayaks and other boats. Stop at Marymere Falls, a very pretty waterfall, old-growth forest with areas exhibiting temperate rainforest. Hike up to the waterfall and then walk the same way back out of the rainforest. Board the ferry once again from Bainbridge Island. As you come across the Sound, the sunset lights up the Seattle Skyline to welcome you back to the city.
